Logo Design

I thought I’d make a post about my logo and banner that is visible on my channel and across all my social media as well as on this Blog.

Now I realise that this isn’t the greatest logo ever created nor does it come close. It is sort of a standard logo you see almost everywhere on YouTube as well other social media sites. I didn’t have any mind blowing ideas when I created this. I just wanted something that I could create that would be sort off simple yet unique and that I could create with a fair amount of ease given my Photoshop Skills or lack thereof.

How I managed to do this was by some random tutorial I found of YouTube that I’ve long since lost. I did create it in Photoshop with almost no previous background or experience in using it. I picked the colors because I like the color blue and I especially liked this neon blue contrast against the black background. I used a similar effect on my banner as well, maybe it was a phase, I don’t really know.

The initials Km obviously stand for Kingmafusa, my Alias or internet persona I created back when I was ohh I don’t know 14, maybe? It is a name (or Gamertag) that I use to identify myself on many of the games that I play online as it IS pretty unique. I’ve seldom found people having already picked this name so that’s always good I suppose.

This banner was yet again inspired by another YouTube tutorial I found interesting and was also created using Adobe Photoshop. Both of these wonderful pieces of art took me a total of maybe 4-5 hours. If you are reading this and thinking “pffffsssttt I can create something MUCH better in half that amount of time”, well good for you. I am truly happy that you are so very skilled >.<

I didn't feel like mastering Photoshop or design before creating the logo and banner as that would probably ‘suck’ all the fun out of it. Neither could I afford a professional to design an awesome looking artistic piece of work so these will just have to do for now.

So yes while there are probably hundreds if not thousands of better looking logos / banners all across the internet, I have come to like and identify myself with these for the time being.

There may come a time in the future when I either get bored of my wonderful creation or just plain tired of having to look at these designs and wish for something new. When such a time comes I may choose to ask someone more capable for help in creating something awesome.

Regardless of how or why I created these things at the end of the day I am fairly proud of them, because it is something I did on my own, from conception to completion, and personally I don’t think they look half bad.

Fifa

This section of my Blog will contain my Fifa content which will probably be the biggest part of my Blog.

Why a separate section for Fifa? You might ask.

Well I have been playing fifa since around 2002, more so on my PC back then and a bit on my PlayStation 1. Since around 2006 however I have been playing fifa almost every single year consistently. I buy each new edition of the popular series and practically throw my money at EA. I have been in love with the game for quite some time, even before the ever popular Ultimate Team series or FUT game mode was released a few years ago. I think part of my love for the game stems from the fact that I love watching football in Real Life. Fifa while not the MOST realistic game, has very good presentation and it is the ONLY descent football game on the market (for now). Its major competitor is PES which is not as good. And so I spend a lot of my gaming time playing fifa on my consoles (currently PS4). I am contemplating ALSO buying a XBOX ONE just so I can have access to the exclusive Legends in the Ultimate Team game mode.

Am I amazing at Fifa?

Absolutely not, no actually on the contrary I am quite bad at the game these days. I have accumulated quite a few loses online in ALL the game modes that I have tried. I used to be half decent at it, but this was back in high school when I had more time to invest into learning all the tricks and mechanics of the game. I would however like to get better at the game and I think this Blog will be helpful in that aspect as well.

I do spend some of my spare time also watching some of the famous Fifa Youtubers out there play the game and this has recently inspired me to start my own Fifa channel on YouTube. This Blog will just be a compliment to my channel and I will be posting many of the videos from there on this site.
I find playing fifa a lot of fun, especially with friends and family, and while the game can be frustrating at times it has always managed to captivate me year after year.

I recently purchased the Holiday Edition of Fifa 15 and have already started playing Career Mode, Online Seasons and the infamous Ultimate Team game modes again. I am quickly learning how to make videos which I will post on my channel very soon alongside my Blog posts so I can share my experiences in Fifa with the world.

To a new Beginning

Hello and welcome to my Blog. My name is Kingmafusa and this is my Gaming Blog called Kingmafusa Games, where I will be sharing my thoughts and opinions on the games that I play, as well as games that I look forward to playing. The majority of my content will be on Fifa (currently Fifa 15.) I will however have a separate section, on this blog for all other games that I play in general.

I have ALSO created a YouTube channel called Kingmafusa, which currently has ALL my gaming videos but I think that I will probably end up creating two separate channels as well.

One of my YouTube channels will be specifically for Fifa content, which will probably be my ‘main’ channel, called Kingmafusa.
My second Channel will be for all of my other gaming videos, and will be my secondary channel, called Kingmafusa Games.
Of course this is all a work in progress at the moment and I will just have to see how things play out.

My original YouTube channel under the name Kingmafusa was created in 2011. I had only ever posted 2 videos to that channel previously. One was a montage on Bad Company 2 and another was a game trailer for need for speed synced to mind heist soundtrack. They were just videos I created for fun in windows movie maker. Both of these videos unfortunately had to be taken down because they contained copyrighted music, which YouTube frowned upon when its stricter copyright policies took affect a few years later. I originally had no plans to turn it into a proper ‘Gaming Channel', the channel was just for experimentation and creating fun videos. After a certain amount of time passed I had almost completely forgotten about the channel altogether.

I was recently inspired into bringing my channel back to life and this time as a proper gaming channel. I had always enjoyed playing Fifa quite a bit, especially its Ultimate Team or FUT game mode. I would often watch YouTube videos of other people who enjoyed playing fifa and commentating on the game. I watched quite a few live streams on Twitch as well and they always looked like a lot of fun. This would make me want to start my own Fifa channel, but every time I would think about starting a channel, I would just give up before I even got started. I think I was mostly just nervous; also the thought of talking to myself (essentially) while playing a game just seemed a bit odd ahah. I know it all seems a bit silly but something always managed to stop me every time and I would make excuses for why it “just wasn't the right time” or why I was “too busy” to do it.

So when I recently thought about starting up a YouTube Channel again, specifically a Fifa Channel, I thought that THIS time I would like to Actually stick with it and see things through. I would like to treat both my channel and this Blog as a hobby, a mini project if you will and it would just be a shame to give up again without giving it a chance. That is where this Gaming Blog really comes in. I think of it as a way to keep track of my ‘progress’ whatever that means, as I go about OFFICIALLY creating my YouTube Channel, which is already live here.

I hope that this Blog will help keep me accountable for the things that I say I am going to do, and if in the process I end up creating the world’s best gaming Blog, then so be it. :)

And so I welcome you to join me on this new journey of awesomeness.

Gaming in General

This section of my Blog will be dedicated to gaming, any and all gaming, whether it be PC games, console games, hand held games or games on mobile devices. The consoles/ gaming systems that I own are PlayStation 2, PS3, XBOX, XBOX 360, Wii(original), PS4 including some handhelds like the Gameboy Color and Nintendo 3D.

I also have a custom built PC (which I built myself). This PC is probably considered outdated as it is over 5 years old but it works just fine for me (mostly). The specs include:

CPU: Intel Core i7 879 @ 2.93GHz
RAM: 16 GB
Video Card: Nvidea GeForce GTX 465 / (AMD Radeon HD 6600 Series)
Storage: 500gb HDD + 1TB HDD
OS: Win 7 (Thank God)

So as you can tell from my system specs, my computer is a little ‘dated’ but it runs everything just fine, or USED to. My video card the nVidea 465 broke back in December and I have since replaced it with a random video card that I found in my closet which happens to be the AMD Radeon HD 6600. This card seems much worse than my other card and I haven’t really played any big games on my PC recently to test it out fully, but initial game tests didn’t go so well. So back in December I just bought a PS4 to satisfy my gaming needs and that was that.

The way I see it I have 2 choices:
I can just continue using this system and just replace the video card with something newer and up to date, preferably another nVIDEA card. The 465 performed well for me for many years until it died.
My second choice would be to build a whole new system from scratch. I still haven’t decided yet and for the time being I am in sort of a limbo while I decide, which is why I have the PS4.

As a side note someone I know suggested heating my video card in the oven for about 10 minutes to fix it. Now before this person mentioned this method to me I had no idea it even existed. Needless to say, I have not tried this method (yet). I am clearly not familiar with the method and would need to read up on it a bit more before I give it a shot (would prefer not to burn the house down if at all possible).

So for the time being I am sticking to older games that I can run fairly easily or games that just don’t require a lot of Gfx power such as Counter-Strike: GO, but that brings in frustrations of its own, a post for another time maybe.

While I decide which option I am going to take with my PC, and whether or not I am going to try cooking my video card, I am currently spending the majority of my time on my PS4 playing INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US, Destiny and mostly Fifa 15.

So in essence: Games, Games and More games!

Real Talk

This section of my Blog will be for the more general (possible non-gaming) related content. Articles will include anything that I am interested in or have a strong Opinion about. I would ideally like this section to be the ‘Real Talk’ section of my Blog that encourages positive discussion on various topics. I would like for people to be able to openly voice their own opinions without prejudice but just know that racist and/or abusive comments will not be tolerated. And while I think it is important to respect people’s opinions, I think we should also be mindful of what we share with others.
